The method that feeds millions

Our Network Stretches Each Dollar

We started feeding the families of Eastern Oklahoma in 1981. Since then, we have built lasting relationships with farmers, retailers, and other members of our community. We provide at least 4 meals per $1. Your dollar goes further because we leverage our relationships, and 97% of it goes directly toward hunger relief.

Our Priority is Serving Nutrition

We pride ourselves on being able to donate a healthy mix of shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce from local farmers, and hot meals. With grocery costs up 13%, many families struggle to put nutritious food on the table. Our goal is to get as many fresh fruits, vegetables, and nutrient dense meals so we can fight hunger and malnutrition at the same time.

Building Partners in Vulnerable Areas

We serve 24 counties across Eastern Oklahoma by providing food to nearly 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, and meal programs in the region. Our community soon will have the nation’s high rate of food-insecure children, so the 2.7 million meals we deliver to annually are necessary to end hunger.

Families in Need

Nearly 1 in 6 Oklahomans struggles with food insecurity and lives below the poverty line. While more than 50% of families who depend on the Food Bank are fully employed, our services provide much needed relief to parents struggling to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.

Children Facing Hunger

During the school year, 62% of kids in Eastern Oklahoma depend on free-and-reduced lunch, and that number jumps to 84% when looking at the Tulsa area alone. Many of these kids wonder where their meal will come from at home and have limited access to nutrient-dense meals outside of school.

Senior Citizens

Food insecurity is a major concern for people above the age of 60 in Eastern Oklahoma. Around 11% of seniors in our area face hunger. Our Senior Servings program identifies and assists seniors who are at risk of hunger by delivering meals and groceries directly to them.

Brave Veterans

We believe people that have given their lives to protecting our country should never go hungry. It’s been estimated that up to 27% of recent active-duty veterans struggle to put food on the table. We support our veterans to give the peace of mind they deserve.
