What We Do

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is on a mission to end hunger in our state by expanding our services and quadrupling the amount of food distributed. We are working every day with our community, local farmers, and partners to get families the food they need.

How We Work

With the support of our community, we are feeding our neighbors and changing lives. Together with our network of partners and supporters, we distributed 2.7 million meals in 2020. With branches in Tulsa and McAlester, the Food Bank provides food to nearly 400 partner agencies (pantries) operating feeding programs in 24 counties of eastern Oklahoma. Being a member of Feeding America and partnering with our community, retailers, and farmers allow us to provide food to local partner agencies (pantries) for little or no cost. These programs and Food Bank direct initiatives, include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, child feeding programs, senior feeding programs, and veteran’s initiatives. We also offer some social services directly to those in need.

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is a warehouse and distribution center for millions of pounds of food that is distributed thorughout eastern Oklahoma. Being a member of Feeding America and partnering with our community, retailers, and farmers allow us to provide food to local partner agencies (pantries) for little or no cost.
