After the last school bell rings, many children are often left to fend for themselves, navigating the distressing world of food insecurity and hunger.
With significant cuts to SNAP and rising food costs, parents face a struggle to feed their families as kids lose access to reliable school meals.
Our Summer Feeding program provides nutritious meals and healthy snacks to children at-risk of hunger when school is not in session. Children receive food at accessible sites such as libraries, community centers, and apartment complexes.

Food For Kids
Eastern Oklahoma is one of the nation’s most food insecure areas for children with one in five children struggling with hunger daily. We are committed to reducing the food-insecurity rate of children from 21% to less than 10%.
The Food Bank wants to ensure that kids get the food they need when they need it through traditional food pantries and other specialized programs such as the Backpack program, Child Care Food Program, Summer Feeding, School Pantries, Free Family Farmers’ Market and Pop-up Markets.
