How We Feed Thousands of Families in Need
Step 1 | Relationships
We have been feeding the families of Eastern Oklahoma since 1981. Since then we have built lasting relationships with farmers, retailers, and other members of the community. We provide at least 4 meals for $1. Your dollar goes further because we leverage our relationships, and 97% of it goes directly towards hunger relief.
Step 2 | Nutritious Meals
We pride ourselves on being able to provide a healthy mix of shelf-stable groceries, fresh produce, and hot meals. Last year, 45% of distributed foods were fresh produce. Our goal is to get as many fresh fruits and vegetables to people as possible.
Step 3 | Distribution
We serve 24 counties across eastern Oklahoma by providing food to nearly 400 partner pantries at little or no cost. Our community has been projected by the USDA to become the nation's most food-insecure area for children, so the 28 million pounds of food we deliver annually are necessary to end hunger in Oklahoma.
Who Does the Food Bank Help?

Seniors
Food insecurity is a major concern for people above the age of 65 in Oklahoma. Around 10% of Oklahoma seniors face hunger. Our Serving Seniors program delivers groceries directly to those that need them.

Veterans
Hunger is unacceptable no matter what, but we are especially aware of how deeply hunger affects the veterans of the country. It's been estimated that up to 27% of recent active duty veterans struggle to put food on the table.
